Here are the instructions for Patch 2.
*if you’re right-handed, it’s To The Right This is a simple knit & purl stitch to get you started. Cast on 40 stitches in Hot Pink (or whatever your first …
First section of my scarf KAL.
Patch 2 will be posted soon.
So here’s a thing I’m doing (why the first pattern I’m releasing is a knit along, I don’t know). I’ve been on Ravelry a lot lately trying to find a scarf to go with the hat and gloves I made and sort of fell in love with the sampler scarves and got bored with my temperature scarf so I frogged that and will be using that yarn for this. The idea is that the bright colours in a random order will give it a patchwork quilt feel (right now, I’m only on patch 2 and the hot pink clashes with the true green so I don’t know how it’s actually going to turn out :S)
The instructions for the first patch will be released soon- like tomorrow or Sunday or something. If anything is unclear, contact me via blog comments, the email given in that post, or even tumblr.
And, like it says in the post, I’m left handed so everything I do is backwards and, while I’m more than willing to help in any way, I’m most likely going to direct you to a video tutorial by a right-handed knitter.
does anyone else have issues with Tricksy Knitter charts not showing up for a while after saving them?

Now that it’s blocked, I can start the mittens #knitting
I may or may not have stayed up until 4am to finish this hat. Well, except for blocking it #knitting

I was attempting a doily-turned-birdcage veil knitting experiment earlier, but instead (especially since my sister said she probably doesn’t want a veil), I’m designing a pi shawl.
I found some gorgeous lace stitches (because I’ve frogged my cowl once again- maybe I’m just not destined to make one?) and the legends are in Japanese.
most of it is fairly straight forward: blank squares are k on rs, p on ws, | seems to be p on rs, k on ws, O is yarn over, I think / with the little tail is k2tog and \ with the little tail is skp, and the big black dot is “bobble” with no instructions on how to make said bobble.
but there are a couple of symbols that I’m just guessing at because even the Japanese legend doesn’t have the symbols listed. I think I’ve got it sorted out though so I’m going to try it.
you know what would be great? if I could just settle on a god damned pattern for a cowl.
Settled on a pattern for real this time: broken single rib. Still not thrilled with the whole perfect-stripes dealy (mostly because of how it’ll look with the other colour ways) but I think this cowl will turn out well enough #knitting
“I’ve been asked recently if I sell my handknits, and how much they would cost. I don’t and I don’t know how much, so I decided to find out.”
Wrist + Hand Exercises for Crocheters / Knitters
If you knit/crochet a lot… chances are you suffer from some achy wrists! …
Here are a few exercises that I do to relieve my sore wrists. Try to give these a whirl every hour or so while you’re working.
